The Kendriya Vidyalaya at Haflong is located amidst the lush green valleys of Haflong. The total area covers an expanse of 12.34 acres with the 25 Assam Rifles adjoining its boundaries. Though initially started under the banner of the SSB in the year 1989, it was shifted to the civil sector in year  2004 and directly comes under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Dima Hasao (N.C. Hills) Assam, the chairman VMC.
